No More Kale! (Aug 13, 2024)
Thank you to all the members who consistently and generously contribute to the food bank donations each week. Unfortunately, kale is not a popular item at the food bank, so we kindly ask that you refrain from donating it in the future.
Machinery in the Sheds (Aug 13, 2024)
Please handle communal machines, such as lawnmowers and weedwackers, with care. If you are unable to reassemble them correctly, please refrain from taking them apart. Missing pieces can lead to additional work and costs for repairs. Either let Peter know, or email if there is an issue.
Compost Areas (Aug 13, 2024)
A new gate has been installed just beyond the bee shed at the far back right of the garden, leading to a secondary composting area. Please do not open this gate; instead, simply toss compost over it. Please be aware that there are only two designated composting spots in the garden.
Driving Speed Limit (July 13, 2024)
All members must obey the speed limit (5 km/hr.) in the garden. If a member is reported they will be warned, and a second warning would be a ban from bringing in a vehicle into the garden.
Metal Rods (July 13, 2024)
All re-bar used for holding border sides must have protective caps installed. There are many gardens with exposed metal that still need protection. Please address this immediately, or emails will be sent to members not adhering to this bylaw
Lock Up! (June 3, 2024)
The sheds were recently left unlocked overnight. Please lock the shed up after using tools, every single time! If you notice the sheds are unlocked, please lock them, even if you’re not using them.
Some things have been taken recently from member plots and the greenhouse. If you see someone you don’t recognize, strike up a conversation with them to see if they have a plot and hopefully, this will be a deterrent to theft.
